What’s the funniest comedy movie you’ve ever seen? One that makes you laugh from start to finish? A comedy that makes your sides split, or one you play on repeat? Mine is easily Stepbrothers. Here are the top-voted comedies the internet voted as the best for repeat laughter.

1. The Gods Must Be Crazy (1980)

“Wow…Really didn’t expect to see this here. This is a throwback to my childhood. We watched it in school and would have also definitely taken it out on VHS too. Don’t think I’ve watched it in 35 years,” one user mentioned.

Another person chimed in, “I used to die watching this. It’s been years, but I’m going to watch it now.”

2. Airplane! (1980)

Airplane! It is one of my favorite jokes when he says he developed a drinking problem and dumps water in his face vs. sipping. Ever,” replied one. Another added, “This was going to be my answer. The number of jokes they fit in is amazing!”

3. Super Troopers (2001)

Super Troopers. From start to finish, that movie is outrageously hilarious—still as funny meow as it was when it came out,” one joked. Another added, “Am I saying “meow”? Do I look like a cat to you, boy? Jumpin’ from tree to tree all nimbly bimbly? Am I drinking milk from a saucer?!?! Now you stop laughing right meow.”

4. This is Spinal Tap (1984)

This is Spinal Tap. Marti DeBergi’s little rockumentary about one of Britain’s loudest bands,” replied one. “The scene where they’re excitedly running to the stage and keep getting lost had me in tears the first time I saw it.”

5. Tropic Thunder (2008)

Tropic Thunder. Tom Cruise’s scenes were so unexpected. Put that movie on another level. As soon as he read the script, Tom Cruise told the producers he wanted fat hands and wanted to dance. So that’s what he got,” shared one. “The way Ben spit cries is ingrained into my head forever. I love it. It’s a classic controversial comedy that they would never make today,” another suggested.

6. The Emperor’s New Groove (2000)

The Emperor’s New Groove is up there for me. Bonus points for being very family-friendly and still gut-busting funny,” stated one. Another volunteered, “If I had an award, I’d give it to you. One of the most underrated Disney movies ever. You have good taste.”

7. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010)

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is a treasure. It would be my pick for the most underrated comedy. So good,” another admitted. “My fiancé is notorious for not finding anything funny in comedies, but I had to pause this movie twice so she could catch her breath.”

8. Shaun of the Dead (2004)

“As a hardcore zombie fan, Shaun of the Dead holds a special place in my heart. I used to say: If you took the comedy out of it, it’d probably be the most accurate portrayal of a zombie apocalypse breaking out in the U.K. But now I realize – the comedy makes it even more accurate and, therefore, even more, terrifying as a concept—what a film,” one stated.

9. Best in Show (2000)

“I watched Best in Show for the first time two weeks ago. I was on a flight back home and could not stop laughing. Good stuff,” shared one. Another confessed, “All Christopher Guest movies are great. We met at Starbucks. Not at the same Starbucks, but we saw each other at different Starbucks across the street from each other.”

10. What We Do in the Shadows (2014)

“I loved What We Do in the Shadows. Specifically, the movie,” clarified one. “I’ve seen both the show and the movie and preferred the movie. It’s my go-to movie to show friends,” another confessed.

11. The Naked Gun (1988)

The fact that O.J. Simpson is in it makes it super weird now, but I’m not sure I ever laughed harder or more consistently than I did the first time I saw The Naked Gun. Something about Leslie Nielsen’s deadpan delivery and expression in the face of that much stupidity is fantastic.”
